Establishment of “CA-JAIC China Internet Fund II, L.P.”

CyberAgent Ventures Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Soichi Tajima), a subsidiary of CyberAgent Inc.(Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, CEO: Susumu Fujita), announces to establish a venture capital fund targeting start-ups in China in cooperation with Japan Asia Investment (China) Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan Asia Investment Co., Ltd.(JAIC).

Background the establishment
The Internet users in China exceed 400 million and China has the world largest Internet users. High growth of the Chinese Internet market is still expected thanks to the Internet penetration into rural areas and development of new services such as e-commerce.

Since jointly established “CA-JAIC China Internet Fund” in April 2006, JAIC Group and CyberAgent Group have invested in promising companies such as, the largest video sharing service company in China, iPartment, SNS provider with 25 million subscribers, and Ultizen Games, one of the successful online game development companies in China. Based upon their successful track record of investments, they decided to establish “CA-JAIC China Internet Fund II” as their second fund.

By taking advantage of a wide network in Asia and the United States held by Japan Asia Investment Group and practical expertise of CyberAgent Group as Japanese internet company, CyberAgent Ventures and JAIC aiming for a superior return through investments in promising venture companies.
